Florence Court is a residential development of houses and apartments arranged around a shared courtyard garden in the ancient Saxon town of Wilton, home to one of the UK’s famous carpet brands. The development sits close to an important Romanesque styled Listed church, a medieval chapel and alms-houses all within an historic conservation area.

The shared landscaped courtyard space between the houses and apartments provides an important sense of place and a place for residents to sit and socialise with one another to enhance the sense of community. The scale, form and appearance of the development reflects the local use of materials, particularly the use of brick and flint banding in external walls. The development received a What House award for best exterior design.
